We know you have questions.

We hope this page can help

  • While we wish we could invite all of those we adore, we cannot accommodate everyone; if their name isn’t on the invitation, they are not invited (this goes for adults and children).

You are more than welcome to bring your children to Grafton for the weekend. We love our kiddos! But we ask that any children under the age of 10 do not attend the ceremony.

  • No, we do not have a registry. Your presence at our wedding is the biggest gift we could ask for.

  • Weather permitting, our ceremony will occur outside at The Community Garden in Grafton. Cocktail hour and reception will be both inside and outside at Phelps Barn at The Grafton Inn.

  • Savor early-fall color on the 2,000-acre Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center: in September the network of wooded paths is perfect for foliage hikes, mountain-bike laps, disc-golf rounds, and tranquil paddles on the small pond.

Back in the village, nibble award-winning cheddar at Grafton Village Cheese, browse historic storefronts for local crafts, and wind down back at the beautiful Inn.

  • All guests are welcome to stay on site at The Grafton Inn. For more information, please see the Stays page.

  • Getting here is simpler than it looks

Most guests drive. Grafton sits just west of I-91: it’s about 146 miles (≈ 3 hours) from Boston and roughly 235 miles (≈ 4½ hours) from New York City, making it an easy half-day road trip through classic New England scenery.

Flying or training in? The closest runway is Rutland–Southern Vermont Regional (RUT), 30 miles away, while bigger hubs—Albany (ALB), Manchester-Boston (MHT), Bradley/Hartford (BDL) and Boston Logan (BOS)—sit within a two-to-three-hour drive. From any airport, rent a car for the prettiest part of the journey. If you prefer rails, Amtrak’s Vermonter stops at Bellows Falls station, about nine miles from the Inn; a quick taxi completes the trip.

  • This is Emily’s wedding.. of course there will options! Please let us know of any dietary restrictions on your RSVP and we’ll let the staff at The Grafton Inn know.

  • For the welcome party, we recommend that guests dress in Cocktail attire.

Our wedding dress code is Creative Black Tie. For information, please see the Attire page.
